Grandma's Pralines
1 Pkg butterscotch pudding - not instant
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup milk
2 Tbsp butter
1 1/2 cup Chopped Pecans

Heat to a broil.  Boil slowly 5 min until it reaches soft ball stage.  Remove from heat and stir in 1 1/2 cup of nuts.  Beat until thick and shiny.  Spoon onto greased aluminum foil

Note:  Takes a long time to cool and become hard.  You can put into the fridge to speed up the time.  Also, might want to double the recipe because it doesn't make much.

How to test for soft ball stage:  Put a spoonful of candy into about 1/2 c of cool water.  Stir.  If you can make a soft call consistency, then you are ready to add nuts.

Birthday cookie cakes

1 cup of softened butter
3/4 cup of sugar
3/4 cup of brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
2 1/4 cup flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
2 cups chocolate chips
Store bought chocolate, vanilla, or cream cheese frosting
Food coloring of your choice
Piping bags and piping tips

1. In a large bowl, beat butter, sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla until light and fluffy.  Add in the eggs one at a time, beating well

2. Slowly add un flour, salt, and baking soda, beating until well blended

3. Stir in chocolate chips by hand.  (Here you can add any extras such as m&m's, white chocolate chips, sprinkles, etc)

4. Using a round spring form pan (I use a 12 inch), spread the cookie dough evenly.  I usually add into the pan and then put cling wrap on top and press with my fingers to make sure it's even and so that the cookie dough doesn't stick to my fingers.

5.  Bake at 375 degrees for 20 min.  Cool completely before adding any frosting

6. Add some frosting to a small bowl and add the desired food coloring.  Stir until mixed through.  Cut tip off of piping bag, add desired decorating tip  and spoon in colored frosting.

7.  Check Pinterest for design ideas and practice as needed on wax paper before adding onto your cake.  When confident start decorating the cake with middle first and outside last.  Add sprinkles for extra fun!

8.  When complete, place into a cake pan cover.  When party is ready for cake.... ENJOY!

Blueberry Muffin & Cream Cookies
These cookies are delicious!  David loves them so much I have made it a tradition to make them every Valentines day.  You can even use raspberry muffin mix if you want to.

 * 4 oz cream cheese
*1/2 cup butter flavored Crisco or just butter if you want
* 1/2 cup brown sugar
* 2 eggs
* 1/2 teaspoon vanilla*
*2 (7oz) boxes of Krusteaz blueberry muffin mix
*3/4 cup flour
*1 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
* Hand full of dried blueberries- Optional

Mix the cream cheese, Criso/or butter, brown sugar.  Add the eggs and vanilla and stir together.
Add the muffin mix, flour, and white chocolate chips.
Bake at 325 degrees for about 14 min.  Allow to cool before removing from the cookie sheet.

-The Jiffey blueberry muffin mix is the best because it has the little tin of blueberries in the sauce.  Then your cookies should be blueberry swirled or a blue color.

Oatmeal Scotchies
I've made these before for our cookie bake at Christmas time and they were really good.  I love the butterscotch flavor and the way it makes the house smell when they are baking in the oven.

*1 teaspoon baking soda
* 1 cup brown sugar
*1 teaspoon cinnamon
*1/2 cup sugar
*1/2 teaspoon salt
*1 cup butter
*1 2/3 cup butterscotch chips

Makes 4 dozen cookies

1. Add all ingredients to make the dough and chill overnight (very important- otherwise the cookies will spread)
2. Make the dough into balls and spread on a cookie sheet 2 inches apart.
3. Bake 7-9 minutes at 350 degrees.

Chocolate Cupcakes with Cookie Dough Frosting
For the Cupcakes:  1 box of Hershy's Chocolate Premium Cupcake Mix.  For the oil in the box recipe, I used coconut oil instead of vegetable oil.

For the Frosting:
*3/4 cup butter
*4 oz cream cheese, softened
*3/4 cup brown sugar
*3/4 cup flour (I used coconut flour)
1/2 teaspoon salt
*1 teaspoon vanilla
*2 cups powdered sugar
*Milk, as needed (Splash or two)
*1/3 cup mini semi sweet chocolate chips

1. Cook the cupcakes by the directions on the box except use coconut oil instead of vegetable oil.
2. While cupcakes are cooling prepare the frosting.  In a medium bowl cream butter, cream cheese & brown sugar for 2-3 min until very fluffy.  Add flour and salt and mix well.  Add vanilla and powdered sugar 1 cup at a time, mixing well after each.  Use milk 1 tablespoon at a time if needed to thin to desired consistency.  Stir in chocolate chips.  Spread frosting on cooled cupcakes.

Sugar Cookie Frosting
I like making my own frosting for my sugar cookies.  This way you can make whatever colors you want and this frosting will look shiny, but will dry hard so that there is no mess.  Also tastes wonderful too!

*1 cup powdered sugar
*2 teaspoons milk
*2 teaspoons light corn syrup
*1/4 teaspoon coconut extract
*Food coloring

Mix ingredients together and add your desired colors.  Spread evenly over cookies and then let dry.  :)
